2024 Honda Civic Sport, Models, Interior – In the United States, the 2024 Honda Civic Sport is still the second-best-selling vehicle, behind only the all-star Toyota Camry. However, the Civic outsold the Toyota Corolla by 30,000 units last year in the small sector. It also outperformed the competition by a wide margin. That’s why Honda’s Civic is so critical.
When we look back at the 2024 Honda Civic Sport ten prior incarnations, the designers switch between goofy and stylish. Is this the tenth generation? It’s worth checking out. Before that, how many? Three, four, and five were quite fantastic, but two and three were weird. Where does that leave Gen 11? You’re looking at the all-new 2024 Honda Civic, offered in sedan and hatchback versions. In terms of appearance and behavior, gene 11 is substantially more mature.
2024 Honda Civic Sport Redesign
A sleeker and less crazily detailed appearance are the hallmarks of the new 2024 Honda Civic Sport design. The front of the sedan has been lowered, while the back has been enclosed further. Due to the two-inch repositioning of the windscreen and A-pillars, the Civic’s hood seems longer than it is. Despite its small size, it seems to be a mid-size automobile from a distance. The rear end of the hatchback is shortened by 4.9 inches compared to the sedan’s.
The Touring and Sport Touring versions include a 9.0-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital gauge display, which is standard on the 7.0-inch model. Materials on lower trim levels, like metal accents on several controls and a fingerprint-resistant center panel, are outstanding. The upper and lower halves are separated by a seamless mesh covering that conceals the vents. It’s both beautiful and unique.
Interior
As the 2024 Honda Civic Sport develops, it’s almost large enough to fit five people. If you’re looking for a car that’s both practical and comfortable, this one is a definite 6 out of 6. In terms of total length, the 2024 Civic surpasses even the largest Accords, and as a result, we are hesitant to call it a compact any more. Front passengers in the LX variant, who sit on manually adjusted fabric seats, get a good view of the road thanks to the vehicle’s low dashboard and plenty of glass.
We found the touring seats to be more comfortable than the EX version’s, with enough bolstering and adequate support in all areas except the lower back. To get the best perspective, we often have to lift the seat in the Civic’s front seats. Rear passengers will have 37.4 inches of legroom and at least 37.1 inches of headroom in the 2024 Civic; the back seat is designed for a couple, but there is enough room for another person to sit in the center.
Engine
With normal trim, it’s a little slow. The 2024 Honda Civic Sport LX and Civic Sport both have a 2.0-liter inline-4 and a CVT for a reasonable amount of acceleration. From the get-go, it’s slow, and the CVT kicks in, allowing the engine to idle in a region of the powerband where noise predominates over speed. Although the Civic weighs just 2,877 pounds when factory-installed, even in Sport mode, the car still needs some forethought when merging and passing. The Civic Touring is the opposite extreme of the performance scale, with a weight of 3,077 pounds. There’s a 6 horsepower and 15 lb-ft increase in torque from the 2021 model’s 1.5-liter turbo-4 to 180 hp.
Fans of the 6-speed manual gearbox will be happy to know that the hatchback’s Sport and Sport Touring models come standard with a 6-speed manual. The turbocharged engine, which doesn’t fully open up until 4,000 rpm, is a better fit for this gearbox. Despite the CVT’s best efforts, it is unable to hold the Civic in this rev range consistently, and with a manual transmission, the vehicle is much more responsive and pleasurable to drive. To learn to drive a stick, the Civic is a wonderful option because of its gentle clutch action and large catchpoint.
2024 Honda Civic Sport Release Date and Price
The LX version of the 2024 Honda Civic Sport is priced at $22,695. 16-inch alloy wheels and an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included in the package. Its 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, and blind-spot monitors put it in the sweet zone for the $25,695 Civic EX, but the $29,295 Civic Touring is a real contender thanks to its 9.0-inch touchscreen, Bose 12-speaker audio, leather upholstery, and wireless smartphone charging. At $25,115, the hatchback Sport is the most expensive option, followed by the LX at $23,915. A $1,920 difference separates the EX-L from its EX predecessor, while the Sport Touring costs $30,415.
