New 2024 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid, Release Date, Specs – The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is an anomaly in its class since it is the only pickup truck most purchasers will ever need. Honda adds extra standard features to the 2024 Ridgeline.
Adaptive cruise control and active lane control are standard on all Ridgelines, automated emergency braking and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Only the Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition trims remain after the RT and RTL-T trims were removed.

However, the 2024 Honda Ridgeline hybrid design is quite different from most other trucks, having four doors and an open bed. We can’t tell the Ridgeline apart from the new Passport or the Honda Pilot it is based on, but we don’t mind since they are both attractive crossover SUVs. In fact, the Ridgeline looks like a Pilot up to the end of the rear door when the square bed starts.
When it came to the bed, the original Ridgeline featured a kink in the D-pillar to let it flow better into the second generation’s design. Despite its good looks, this vehicle doesn’t seem as durable or competent as other vehicles in its class. As with the Pilot, we’re pleased with the inside.
Interior
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline has one of the roomiest and pleasant cabins of any vehicle, whether it is a mid-size or full-size model. We’re going with an 8 on this one. Because of its unibody design, the Ridgeline has a lot of internal storage and enough capacity for five people, a high roofline, and a low floor, making it one of the most practical daily drivers we’ve ever driven. It’s easy to get in and out of, and the back seats fold flat against the back, offering a lot of storage space below.
Soft-touch plastics and leather upholstery are offered as options. Its 60-inch-long bed and 50-inch-wide wheel wells make it one of our favorite features of any vehicle, and it also has a dual-action tailgate that can fold down and swing out for improved access to the in-bed trunk.
Engine
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline compromises some outright capacity for on-road comfort, which is what many consumers may be searching for in a mid-size truck. The score is 7 out of 10 in our book here. The Ridgeline’s 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque come from a 3.5-liter V-6 engine. Despite its lack of robustness, it performs well and has sufficient power for highway commuting.
All models this year include a new 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard equipment, with front-wheel drive as standard on the entry-level RTL and hybrid trims and all-wheel drive as an option on the Sport and RTL. Most crossover SUVs and pickup trucks have unibody construction, but the Ridgeline has a body-on-frame design. With both positive and negative aspects, we’ll begin with the negative so that we may conclude with a positive one.
